Arboreal brings together artists engaged in working with trees for a creatively nourishing artistic salon event. Curated by Fay Stevens at the Garden Gallery (48 Pultney Street, Bath), run by Kit Glaisyer and Nina Jesih, Arboreal comprises readings, performance and presentations in a range of artistic media. Poet Alyson Hallett will talk about the trees she has known as well as read from a collection of her nature-based poetry. Singer Kristen Mulcahy will perform a collection of folk/parlour songs, while writer and performer Camilla Nelson will read from her book Apples & Other Languages and some of her other Singing Apple Press publications A selection of Kit Glaisyer’s paintings of Dorset trees and landscapes will be on exhibition and Fay Stevens will display her drawings from an Arboretum in Somerset and the Mountains of Almeria in Spain, along with a film from the Botanical Gardens in Bath.
